Jamie B. Naini
A graduate of University of Memphis School of Law, Mr. Naini served as the Research Editor for the University of Memphis Journal of Practice and Procedure. Prior to forming his own practice, he practiced immigration in Memphis, where he headed the immigration department at the very prestigious law firm of Massey McClusky.
Mr. Naini has concentrated his practice exclusively in immigration law, both in private practice and as an attorney appearing before the USCIS and the U.S. Immigration Court. His practice is focused in all areas and aspects of immigration law, with a particular emphasis in removal defense before the immigration courts.
Mr. Naini has also appeared before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, where he has scored victories several times. He has written and lectured extensively in immigration law nationally. His immigration articles have been published monthly in the United States where they have found a large following.
Tina L. Gaines
An attorney at the Law Offices of Jamie B. Naini, Mrs. Gaines is a 2000 graduate of the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and a 1986 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. Mrs. Gaines graduated close to the top of her law school class, was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Legal Fraternity, and received the Academic Award of Excellence for Child Advocacy. She also served as a law clerk for the Shelby County Criminal Court Judges and as a law clerk for the Shelby County District Attorney's Office.
Before becoming an immigration lawyer, Mrs. Gaines worked as a commissioned National Bank Examiner for the United States Treasury as well as an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Tennessee. She also volunteered as an Ombudsmen with the United States Department of Defense.
Mrs. Gaines has experience in a wide variety of immigration issues including family petitions, abused spouse petitions and family violence issues, employment-based immigration, immigrant and non-immigrant visas, asylum and removal defense and appeals to U.S. Circuit Courts. Mrs. Gaines is a regular litigator before the Immigration Court in Memphis, Tennessee and Atlanta, Georgia where she defends and champions immigrant's rights.
Dinelle Mahabir
Ms. Dinelle Mahabir is a graduate of the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and a graduate of Henderson State University, where she graduated cum laude. Ms. Mahabir was the Editor-in-chief of the prestigious Tennessee Journal of Practice and Procedure, was an associate member of the Moot Court Board, was the co-coach of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Team, Best Oral Advocate of the Advanced Moot Court Competition, and champion of the Freshman Moot Court Competition.
Before joining our law firm, Ms. Mahabir worked as an investigator for the bankruptcy and environmental law claims at Memphis Light, Gas and Water Divison. She also was the Legal Intern for Criminal Court Judges in Memphis, Tennessee.
Ms. Mahabir has worked on removal defense cases, various non-immigrant visas, asylum and appellate cases.
